Racial and Social Justice Commission in Prince William County
Prince William County Government
Prince William County's Racial and Social Justice Commission identifies issues of concern and best practices on the police department's policies and practices, provision of government services, and public education. They have publicly available bylaws, resources, meeting agendas, and invites to town hall meetings. One of the most important resources is the Racial and Social Justice Commission Report, published in 2021. The Board of County Supervisors authorized the creation of this Commission with the mission to examine the state of social justice for people of color within the County with a focus on policing, the provision of government services, and public education in partnership with the Prince William County School Board. They are available for contact online via phone or email.
